Named after the famous mountain in the canton of St. Gallen, alvier is the 14th race car, which was designed and built by the AMZ Racing Teams from Zurich. In view of the impending pandemic and the difficult working conditions, it is an incredible achievement of the approximately 40 students from ETH Zurich and the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences who are involved in this project. As it is unfortunately not possible to hold events this year, the available time is used to validate the concepts of the vehicle and to further develop the vehicle. This year I’m mainly working as a test driver, where I can give the team the necessary feedback for the development process. Next year we will hopefully compete with alvier at the events, if they can be held.
