AMZ Racing - Formula Student

The Akademischer Motorsportverein Zürich (AMZ) was founded in 2006 by students from ETH Zürich. Since then they have produced every year a prototype for the Formula Student Championship in Europe. They are known for setting the acceleration world record from an electric vehicle to 0-100 kp/h in 1.513s. The AMZ Racing Team is considered as one of the best Formula Student Teams. This became clear to me when I saw how hard and long each individual works. It is a great honour for me to work with the AMZ Racing Team.

When the new protoype “Eiger” was presented in 2018, it was my task to work with the eam to correct errors on the car and improve the car setup during the test days. In the cockpit of Eiger you feel like a Formula 1 driver, only that this prototype can drive incredibly fast around tied corners. Forces of up to 3G are applied with the help of torque vectoring, active suspension and very efficient aerodynamics. It’s unbelievable what the student are putting on the wheels. The cars are built with a lot of innovation and really high end engineering. It’s visible how passionately everyone is involved in the project. I am always excited to work together with the likeable members of the AMZ Team.
